What to Consider When Choosing Handcrafted Cabinets

  • Determine the space available for cabinets
  • Plan for a number of shelves, drawers, and windows
  • Choose a door design (with or without glass)

Designer Services

Walz Design Woodworks has an in-house design program. This ensures we meet and exceed your expectations for every aspect of your project from design to finish.

  1. We work with blueprints or drawings from the client. With remodeling projects, we visit the site to measure the existing space. Then structural changes and other options are discussed.
  2. A set of CAD computer drawings are generated to show you what the space will look like. You will be able to see the following views:
    • Floor plan: 2-D drawing looking down at the space
    • Elevations: 2-D drawing looking directly at a wall in the space
    • Perspective / Bird’s Eye Views: 3-D drawings of the space

Different types of wood have various characteristics, like hard, dense, heavy, or light. Additionally, some wood has distinct grains for a charming rustic effect. Some wood species are hard and more dense, heavy and tough.
